Hugely popular and successful are the many and various Children’s parties held at Cracoe Village Hall. We can set chairs and tables to whatever layout you think will suit your child or group best. Bouncy castles - indoor or outdoor - children’s discos, entertainers, magicians and clowns, as well as traditional party games, are all regular features at our children’s parties.
The kitchen can be hired to prepare your own hot meals if you so wish or you may simply prefer to bring your own food or a combination of the two.
Special Birthday Celebrations / Fundraising Dances / Socials and Ceilidhs
For the younger age groups - 18 to 40+ - who want a live band or disco, we have an optional mobile stage that can be set up to whatever size and shape is required. The hall can be attractively arranged to cater for different parties and sizes, allowing dance space appropriate to the type of party e.g. disco, ceilidh, ballroom. We have a full drinks licence with a purpose-built bar to serve your own beer and spirits. The hall can cope with 150 comfortably but the number it can accommodate depends on the type of function. If an external marquee or bar tent is also used then 200 persons are possible. The booking secretary will advise on this.
Parties and celebrations for those extra special occasions
The set-up of the hall for your party or group can be made as simple or as sophisticated as you choose. You will be given prior access in order to arrange whatever decorations, balloons or formal displays you feel are appropriate. The hall can be made to look quite magical with a little imagination and not much additional cost. We have a lovely polished wooden floor ideal for old-time and sequence dancing, which is a regular favourite at the hall.
The hall is used regularly for functions of all descriptions including special birthday celebrations, wedding receptions and anniversaries, christening celebrations, ceilidhs, ballroom and sequence dances and many other social and fund-raising occasions.
It is increasingly popular for larger parties and weddings to hire a marquee to go on the grass area adjacent to the hall. This allows for the marquee to be used, for instance, for dining and dancing while the hall can provide additional seating and the use of its kitchen and cloakroom facilities. It enables a large party, with loud music, to have a separate quiet area for sitting and chatting in what is a really beautiful scenic setting.
We have a well-equipped kitchen with crockery and cutlery for 140. The kitchen has been furnished to assist outside caterers in their preparation of high-quality cuisine.

By opening sliding doors, the main hall can be extended into the annexe and meeting room to create one large space.
